We are delighted to announce that Daniele Piergentili will join F.I.S. - Fabbrica Italiana Sintetici S.p.A. as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 15, 2024. Daniele was previously President of Life Sciences at Croda, where he was responsible for the Health (Pharma & Consumer Health) and Agro (Crop & Seed) divisions globally. Before that, he spent 22 years at BASF working in the US and across Europe, including as a leader of Consumer Care and Pharma business units.
Daniele brings to FIS a unique mixture of operational, strategic and commercial knowledge, which he developed in several specialty businesses and several countries over the years and will support FIS further development as a globally recognized leader in the CDMO industry. He will define and drive the strategic, industrial, and financial direction for the company, with his appointment playing a crucial role in our growth strategy. Michele Gavino will continue to support FIS and will join the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman.
